On May 21, the 31st Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF) was successfully concluded. With the theme of "Gather for a Sustainable Future", GITF is dedicated to further strengthen international exchange.
GITF2023 covers an exhibition area of 22,000 square meters, attracting 1,003 exhibitors from 55 countries and regions. The exhibition area is divided into different categories including Digitalization, Outbound Tourism and M.I.C.E, Inbound Tourism and Travel Destination, Local Travel Agency, Theme Tourism and Scenic Spot. A total of 39,046 professional visitors were welcomed on site, and 175 domestic and overseas media reported on the show.
International exhibitors gathered again, and Sri Lanka returned to GITF as the Partner Country. Sri Lankan Minister of Tourism and Land Mr. Harin Fernando, WTTC Senior Vice President Ms. Maribel Rodriguez, Hong Kong Tourism Board Deputy Executive Director Ms. Ye Zhende, Chairman of Hong Kong Tourism Council Ms. Xu Wang Meilun, exhibitor representative Elizabeth from the Cuban Embassy in China, Managing Director of Hannover Milano Fairs China Mr. Gary Liu and officials from 27 countries including Turkey, Cuba, Laos, Panama, Angola, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Greece, Hungary, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Israel, Vanuatu, Zambia, Ghana, Kuwait, the United States, Thailand, Poland, the Philippines, Cambodia, Russia, Spain, Uganda, Nigeria, Qatar, Uzbekistan and other consulates general in Guangzhou attended and witnessed the opening of the event. Guangzhou Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism Bureau was also invited to attend the ceremony.
